(Halifax, NS) – Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hawksley Workman returns to Halifax this spring for a performance at the Light House Arts Centre (1800 Argyle St.) on Saturday, April 6. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 2 at 12 p.m. at sonicconcerts.com.

Workman is a JUNO Award winner and Gold certified selling artist. Since his ground-breaking, self-produced indie debut, For Him and The Girls (1999), through to his chart-topping singles of 2020, Workman has careened between major label international smash hits to Canadiana soaked indie releases. Boasting a catalogue of 17 solo records, Workman’s genre defying style strings together folk, chart pop, and irrepressible cabaret. His show-stopping vocals on songs about weather, love, heartbreak, and tales of end-times have garnered him a league of devoted fans.

Performing over a thousand shows worldwide, Workman has headlined prestigious venues like Massey Hall and The Olympia in Paris. For a uniquely Canadian artist, he has built loyal fan bases in the UK, France, Norway, and Australia, launching many successful tours, demystifying and delighting fans, while drawing on an enviable catalogue of mischievous favourites, glam-y stompers, and heartfelt hymns.

Tickets are $49.57 in advance and $54.70 day of show (including tax and service fee). This show is reserved seating and restricted to ages 19+ with valid photo ID required for entry. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show time is 8 p.m.
