HALIFAX, NS – Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to return to the Maritimes with its coolest arena show yet – CRYSTAL. This one of a kind arena production blends circus arts and the world of ice skating in a stunning new production that will take the audience on a journey into a whimsical frozen playground where figure skating mingles with acrobatics and aerial feats. CRYSTAL will perform in the following Maritime cities next summer:

Moncton, NB at the Avenir Centre from Wed., August 14 – Sun., August 18, 2019
Saint John, NB at Harbour Station from Wed., August 21 – Sun., August 25, 2019
Halifax, NS at Scotiabank Centre from Wed., August 28 – Sun., September 1, 2019

The international cast of CRYSTAL features 43 artists, plus more than 40 crew members from 21 different countries supporting the tour every day. It will be a special time for New Brunswick native, Shawn Sawyer – one of the figure Skaters in CRYSTAL who grew up in Edmundston and competed internationally before becoming a professional skater. Shawn says:  “I have been fortunate to perform everywhere in the world and visit multiple cities and countries I never thought I would have a chance to see. However, nothing compares to the thrill and excitement of performing in front of my home crowds. I am a proud Maritimer who started my skating career competing in these cities. I have always been proud to display my skills and I have never been this excited to show my family and friends what I have been doing with Cirque du Soleil for the past two years.”
